If you ask fashionistas around the world what their favorite fashion gloss is, it’s inevitable that you have Vogue magazine. The iconic style bible has documented decades of fashion and history, making it a media giant of fashion and pop culture. It has spread around the world with over 20 international editions, and the Philippines will soon be included on this list.
Through a social media post, the president of One Mega Group Inc., Suki Salvador, announces the title’s coming to the Philippines.
âHappy to share that we finally have our own Vogue. Yes, Vogue Philippines is coming in 2022! This is for you, [Philippines]⦠Thank you for the confidence Condé Nast, âhe said in the post.
In case you didn’t know, Vogue is an American fashion and lifestyle magazine established in 1892 as a weekly high society newspaper. Over its 129-year legacy, its American version has been edited by top editors including Diana Vreeland, Grace Mirabella, and her current editor and global content director for Condé Nast Anna Wintour.
According to Lifestyle Asia, the first issue of Vogue Philippines is scheduled to release its first issue in September 2022.
âWe are delighted to launch our 29th edition of Vogue in the Philippines, a country with a growing luxury fashion market and a vibrant creative scene,â said Markus Grindel, Managing Director, Global Brand Licensing, Condé Nast. âThe title will launch as the first digital media brand with a monthly print edition and will be an exciting addition to our global Vogue network. “
With the current digitalization of fashion and media in the country, having a Filipino edition of Vogue not only strengthens the global appeal of Filipino design creations, but also the importance of printing locally.
