Treat yourself to a gourmet getaway this summer at Hilton Lake Como, Italy

Hilton Lake Como announces a series of exciting additions to its culinary lineup this summer. From a new executive chef and street food pop-up offering the world’s best artisan pizzas to an earth-themed cocktail list and updated menu at signature restaurant Terrazza 241, lakeside paradise is the ultimate choice for a gourmet getaway this summer.

New Executive Chef Stefano Ghielmetti

New Executive Chef Stefano Ghielmetti oversees the entire dining experience at Hilton Lake Como. Born and raised in Como, he has lived and worked in Dubai and Toronto and trained at Michelin-starred establishments such as Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in London. Ghielmetti cites this experience as a constant source of inspiration, bringing an international flair to his cooking.

Commenting on his appointment and the new summer offer, he said: “I am thrilled to be part of the outstanding team here at Hilton Lake Como. Our little piece of heaven on Lake Como is fast becoming the go-to dining destination for foodie travelers to the region and our latest pitches are the so-called “proof in the pudding!” “. Yes, I am passionate about Italian cuisine, but I also like to mix it with South American and Asian influences to bring an element of the unexpected and surprise and delight our guests, while always using the freshest local products.

Parmigiana Ravioli

Street food for the whole family

Available from July to October 2022, Hilton Lake Como will feature a new pop-up street food bar concept that has been created in the ground floor terraces and will offer an alternative dining option to Terrazza 241 for guests of the hotel and residents. Characterized by an informal atmosphere, the new street food bar is an ideal destination for families, friends and couples.

An original portable pizza oven in red color specially created on an Ape Piaggio (similar to a Vespa) will be positioned at the entrance of the hotel thanks to the collaboration with L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, the renowned and historic Neapolitan pizzeria that proudly uses traditional and natural ingredients. Nominated in the Michelin and Espresso guides, it was recently awarded as the best artisan pizza chain in the world. The classic round pizza, tasty and inviting, which satisfies both the eye and the palate, will be offered in different regional versions in the name of simplicity and authentic taste: a real culinary journey through the Bel Paese. A selection of gourmet burgers and trendy poke bowls will also be offered to lovers of tasty but light cuisine. There is now truly something for every palette at Hilton Lake Como!

Earth-Inspired ‘Habitat’ Cocktail Menu

Hilton Lake Como takes its world-class beverage list to a new level with the launch of a new earth-inspired cocktail menu. The Habitat menu is inspired by distant lands from Japan to Peru and offers a range of mouth-watering drinks to delight all palettes.

Traditionalists will love Smoked negroniwhich is served in a cloche filled with the earthy scent of smoky thyme, while adventurers will delight in Rajasthani tea-infused rum, banana and lemongrass Oasis, which comes complete with coconut foam. The star of the show is Hanamiwhich is inspired by the Japanese custom of watching cherry blossoms in full bloom and is a refreshing blend of Etsu gin, cardamom, ginger, lime and red fruit tea.

New food menu at Terrazza 241

This summer, Executive Chef Stefano Ghielmetti and his talented brigade will serve you a taste of la dolce vita with a brand new menu for the hotel’s signature restaurant, Terrazza 241. With an expansive rooftop terrace offering the best view on Lake Como, Terrazza 241 is the perfect place to dine al fresco while watching the world go by.
