Morgan Hill fast food restaurant arrests

MORGAN HILL – Two 23-year-old Morgan Hill men have been arrested on suspicion of robbing the same fast food restaurant twice in the past month, police said.

The thefts took place Dec. 13 and 20 at the Burger King at 1107 Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill, the Morgan Hill Police Department said in a press release Tuesday.

The suspects demanded money and employees provided money from the registers, police said. Both times, the suspects fled on foot.

Police said an investigation identified the two suspects. They were arrested on December 21 at Morgan Hill.

During a search of a suspect’s home, officers seized a loaded AR-15 rifle, high-capacity magazines and numerous cartridges, police said.

The two suspects were held in the Santa Clara County Jail for theft, burglary and conspiracy, as well as violating their probation. One of the suspects was also charged with illegal possession of an assault weapon, illegal possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and possession of a high capacity magazine.

The investigation is continuing and police are urging anyone with information relating to the case to contact Detective Adrian Sapien at 669-253-4995 or [email protected]
