Cleveland unveils Launcher XL Halo irons and hybrids

A complete set of hybrid-style irons, the Launcher XL Halo irons feature a progressive, loft-specific design to deliver enhanced performance throughout the bag, while the Launcher XL Halo Hybrid contains the Interaction Moment (MOI) highest of all the brand’s hybrids.

Both products are built with Cleveland’s “XL” head design which dramatically increases MOI for straighter, more powerful shots. The new irons benefit from a 17% increase in stability measurement over the brand’s previous hybrid iron model. Hybrids and irons also feature a “HiBore Crown Step” to lower the center of gravity (CG).

“From head to grip, the Launcher XL HALO irons make golf easier and more fun,” said Brian Schielke, general manager of Cleveland Golf. “Most of us don’t have a lot of confidence standing 170 yards with a long iron in our hands and needing to carry a bunker to make the green. But with the Launcher XL HALO irons, you’ll swing easier, feel confident, and be shocked at how forgiving they are. These irons will become your favorite clubs.

Like the Srixon ZX family of irons, the Launcher XL Halo irons feature “MainFrame” technology in the face. A new variable thickness pattern created with artificial intelligence to increase the speed of the ball in the strike zone.

The soles of the long irons contain “Gliderails” for better interaction with the turf and better consistency of shots on shots that higher handicap players have the most difficulty with, while the short irons and cleats use a sole. V-shaped for more control and improved contact. The grooves change similarly throughout the set for specialized performance.

Wider, flatter grooves are used in 4-iron to 7-iron, while 8-iron to sand wedge features deeper grooves that are closer to each other to produce higher spin.

A new 8 gram weight is located inside the grip end of each iron to improve balance, tempo and consistency.

Also featuring the new weight labeled “Action Mass CB” by Cleveland, the Launcher XL Halo Hybrid is larger for greater forgiveness and confidence at address, and is powered by the Cleveland “Rebound Frame”.

Two “flex zones”, one in the face and one in the body, work together to provide more energy transfer into the ball on impact to increase ball speed and distance. transport.

“The new Launcher XL HALO hybrids are the most forgiving and inspiring woods Cleveland Golf has ever made,” said Dustin Brekke, director of engineering at Cleveland Golf. “With an extremely high MOI design, Gliderail technology and rebound frame, the Launcher XL HALO hybrids deliver a distance and consistency never seen before for game-enhancing players.”

Featuring three Gliderails on the sole, the hybrid comes in a new ‘Accuracy Build’ which sees the 8 gram weight uninserted in the grip end of the rod and a one-half shorter build length. thumb for better control.

Both models are available in Australia from November 12.

Recommended price: $ 279.95 (hybrid); $ 179.95 (per iron).
