Belt him! Composer Danny elfman brought together a star-studded lineup for a live performance of The nightmare before Christmasincluding the teenage feel Billie Eilish.
During the performance on Friday, October 29 in Los Angeles, the 68-year-old musician hired the 19-year-old “Bad Guy” singer to play Sally opposite his Jack Skellington, whom he dubbed in the film.
In clips posted via YouTube, the California native sang “Sally’s Song” to the Band of California Stadium audience before duet with Elfman on “Simply Meant to Be”.
“And now it’s my great pleasure to announce a very special guest star, singing the role of Sally, please give Miss Billie Eilish a warm welcome, not bad,” Elfman told the crowd of participants before Eilish stepped out on stage wearing a Sally-inspired costume.
Fans couldn’t get enough of his electric rendition, with a Tweeter, “billie eilish singing sally song was so cute”, alongside a video of the performance. Another social media user noted: “Okay, @billieeilish because Sally was perfect!”
Ahead of the performance, the Grammy winner noted her joy at being a part of the show, writing via Instagram, “pee in my pants, I’m so horny,” alongside a slam from the sign on the door of his lodge.
Hours later on Friday, she shared a photo of Sally from the movie via her social media page, captioned “My Dear Jack.”
The spectacular concert also featured the actor Ken page reprising his role of Oogie Boogie for his song titled, as well as Paul “Pee-Wee Herman” Reubens and “Weird Al” Yankovic join Elfman for a performance of “Kidnap the Sandy Claws”.
Released in 1993, the Disney film follows Jack Skellington – the King of Halloween Town – as he discovers Christmas Town. However, his attempts to bring winter vacation back to his hometown confused his neighbors.
TheTim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas The live-to-film concert experience brought classic songs from the film to life in a new way and also featured on-site tips or treats and a pre-show costume contest. A second night of entertainment will take place on Sunday, October 31 at Halloween, in Los Angeles.
Other fans couldn’t help but gush about the whole event, writing via Twitter, “Just saw Nightmare Before Christmas with a live band and singers and Danny Elfman gave us an encore, then a surprise rock concert of one song! It was awesome !!”
