For nine years Linda Carter was at the center of all the Albert Square action and on Monday night (June 6) things got worse as she was involved in an explosive car crash with Janine Butcher. The two Walford icons were arguing over their love for Linda’s husband, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) before Janine (Charlie Brooks) lost control of the steering wheel.
She swerved to avoid an oncoming truck before their car hit a tree. Moments later, a branch fell through the window screen, leaving Linda’s life hanging in the balance.
As the Carter family matriarch, Linda has really been through the mill of drama since she set foot in the square in 2013. She’s battled alcohol addiction, endured a horrific sexual assault, had a fling with Max Branning and only welcomed Prince last week. Charles and Camilla at Walford for a royal knee.

But far from the life of BBC soap opera actress Kellie Bright couldn’t be further from her alter-ego Linda Carter. The 45-year-old from Brentwood is now mum to three boys after welcoming her youngest son Rudy Joy Stocker into the world last year.
The actress met husband Paul Stocker while performing in a play together, he was just 24 and she was 31, and the couple married in Cornwall in 2014. With their new arrival Kellie and Paul also share sons Freddy and Gene.
She once opened up about the couple’s seven-year age gap and their plans to start a family, speaking to OKAY! Magazine, Kellie said: “Reality kicked in. I was 31 and wanted to have kids, and Paul was 24 and didn’t have any at the time. I felt it wasn’t fair for Paul – I was afraid he was angry with me.” Fast forward to 2022 and they are now a happy family of five.
Paul, from Redbridge, is famous for his role in the hit 2007 film Atonement alongside Keira Knightley and James McAvoy. He also starred in BAFTA award-winning Mark of Cain and has appeared in numerous stage productions including Two Noble Kinsmen, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Six Degrees of Separation.
The actor appeared on EastEnders in 2016 playing a police officer, and again in 2021 alongside his wife as he portrayed a vicious thief at the Queen Vic threatening Linda Carter, grabbing her from behind and placing his hand on her stuffy.

Away from EastEnders, Kellie has starred in some wildly popular TV shows and movies. It’s been almost two decades since Only Fools and Horses ended with the last Christmas special in 2003.
In the iconic Only Fools prequel, Rock And Chips, Kellie plays the character of Joan Trotter, Del Boy’s mother, and Rodney Trotter, who died when the brothers were young.
The series, which aired in 2010, told how Joan slept with twisted but charming Freddie Robdal – played by original Rodney actor Nicholas Lyndhurst – and got pregnant with Rodney.
Kellie’s other prolific television appearances include her legendary role as Cassie Tyler in the hit series Bad Girls in 2002, Julie in the film Ali G In Da House (2002), Lisa Squire in The House That Jack Built (2002) and WPC Penny Collins. in Jericho (2005) – and many others.
She had one of her first roles in the television series T-Bag and the Revenge of the T-Set in 1989 and was a finalist in Strictly Come Dancing in its thirteenth series in 2015.
Kellie’s official net worth has not been confirmed, however, FamousBirthday reports that her net worth is around £1million.
