ABTA launches Travel with Confidence campaign

New social media and radio ads highlight why people can book and travel with confidence because of an ABTA member.

ABTA Travel with Confidence’s latest national advertising campaign launched on social media on Boxing Day, with ABTA members and their clients describing the benefits of booking and traveling with an ABTA member.

Following the success of last year’s videos, which reached over 10 million people, ABTA again produced a main video for Facebook and a shorter version for Instagram. Both feature members of Premier Travel, Nomadic Tours and many others talking about the service and insurance that comes with booking with an ABTA member, especially during the pandemic.

This year, the video also features guests explaining why they choose to book with an ABTA member – from highlighting the trusted advice they receive to describing the vacation they enjoyed.

Regular traveler Lucy Barlow says:

“I always like to book with an ABTA approved company because it gives me peace of mind, especially at this time with the way things are in the world. They have a very high standard for their members so I would definitely recommend looking for the little ABTA sign whenever you book. ”

ABTA will turn customer testimonials into a series of shorter videos that members can share on their own social networks, along with animated gifs. Campaign material will be added to the Marketing Toolkit in January and ABTA will promote all new social media assets on the ABTA Members Facebook page.

Listen to the 30-second radio commercials which will also air on Heart Radio through mid-January.

“After another difficult year, many people are desperate to go on vacation abroad and increasingly want the expertise and confidence that comes with booking with a trusted travel professional,” said Graeme Buck. , communications director at ABTA.

“This year’s Travel with Confidence campaign celebrates the extremely important role ABTA members play in helping people overcome the unexpected changes caused by the pandemic, so they can book and travel with confidence. “
